All capabilities06 / MODELS & COSTS

Model agnostic. Built to move forward.

TAC-OS is model agnostic. Choose supported models around the work and evolve those choices as capabilities improve. Your company corpus retains its source evidence and recorded results across those changes, giving better models something useful to work with.

Choose at the Step where it matters

A bounded classification and a substantial code change have different needs. A Flow can specify the model profile appropriate to each Step, including its requirements and limits, while ordinary code handles deterministic work.

Keep the knowledge as models change

Source evidence and accepted results belong to the company's retained corpus. A later Flow can use a different approved model to examine that evidence, with its own recorded inputs and outcomes. Changing the model keeps the company's history available to future work.

Improve the method as well as the model

Better ways to prepare documents, identify relationships or search for evidence can make the brain more useful. Retained source material lets you evaluate those methods on existing work. Promote a reviewed version through a new Flow definition and preserve the results that preceded it.

Make continuity an explicit decision

When a provider is unavailable, the right response may be to wait, resume or request attention. Substitution needs a defined policy and evidence that the alternative is appropriate. A more capable model is not automatically an authorised replacement.

Connect usage to the outcome

Recorded usage, reported cost and execution timings can help explain where a Flow spends its effort. Separating queue time, human waiting and compute time makes those comparisons more useful. Financial interpretation still depends on the provider's billing arrangement.

THE FOUNDATION TODAY

TAC-OS records provider execution evidence, supports versioned model profiles and includes provider waiting and recovery behaviour within Steps.

WHERE WE'RE TAKING IT

Bench comparisons will make it easier to evaluate models and processing methods against retained company evidence, alongside quality, usage and cost. Each improvement can then reach future work through a reviewed release.
